"The roof that I am sitting on right now has quickly become one of my favorite places on earth. It is perfect in every single way. We have the most amazing view of our beloved Kathmandu, and every once in a while, Brad or Kim will say, "look, I can see the mountains..." in reference to the Himalaya's! We are surrounded by the roofs of all our sweet friends, and when I come out in the morning, or am reading a book in the afternoon, or if we are dancing at night, our neighbors will come out and we'll talk or wave. Dai's store is right downstairs, and if we get home early enough, he will bid us goodnight, and tell us to "have a good dream." All the random kids around here know our names, and we have no idea who they are, but they call us "Kelsey big sister, Kim big sister, and Brad big brother." Sam Sir and Goma Miss are downstairs, always happy and ready to ask us if we have taken or tea, or eaten our rice. I've sat here on this roof everyday for the last three months, and felt so many different things, come up with new ideas, done some strange things, and have had countless conversations."

I miss that roof.
